Sometimes love needs a touch of magic... Once voted the girl most-likely-to-succeed, Hildy Caldwell is now the one in the biggest rut. She has let her world get very small: a tiny cottage in rural Pennsylvania, two cats, and a ho-hum job. As for love? Nobody has ever measured up to her football hero high school sweetheart. If only she could meet him again . . . Knowing that's wishful thinking, Hildy splurges on a summer rental on Long Beach Island, one of the Jersey shore's prettiest spots. There, she hopes the wind might blow a handsome man her way. Instead, she finds an abandoned bottle-with a two-thousand-year-old, meddlesome genie inside! Magic and mayhem follow, along with what Hildy's been wishing for: a meeting with the man she has never stopped loving. With the genie's help, Hildy's dreams might come true. But spells and enchantment have a dark and dangerous side. And Hildy could lose everything-unless she finds out that true love is the best kind of magic. |
Hi Readers!
True confession time. When I was growing up, I loved watching the TV classic "I Dream of Jeannie." My mother used to scold me by saying, "Don't put your wishbone where your backbone ought to be!"
But I confess, I have. My new book IF WISHING MADE IT SO features the sexiest, most macho, most irresistible genie I could dream up. And it tells a story about hidden yearnings for a second chance with a first love . . . a summer beach holiday filled with romance and nonstop adventure . . . and a fantastic chance for my heroine to make all her wishes come true.
And I'd like to pass on a secret. Women of all ages enjoyed my first genie book (Careful What You Wish For) so much they passed it on to their friends and relatives. They told me they laughed and cried, and just had the best time. One reader turned out to be in the television industry. She liked it so much that maybe someday my genie will have a series too.
I can only wish.
But right now, in the real world, IF WISHING MADE IT SO is a light-hearted, warm, and funny book that will make you smile and feel good. And that's something worth wishing for!
Hugs and kisses,
Lucy Finn

Superb comedy and so incredibly believable. Hildy is a sweet,
lovely ordinary woman who readers will find endearing. Don't miss this
book, especially if you are familiar with the
New Jersey shore and the
associated small beach towns. Loved this book!
